Suspended like a magnificent chandelier from the ceiling of the cathedral-like chamber, the Great Stalactite is over 23 feet long and weighs over ten tonnes. It is truly astounding. This fully guided cave tour takes you 180 feet into the limestone caverns of the Burren formed over hundreds of thousands of years. You will not see anything like it anywhere in the world.
Extend your adventure from underground to above-ground on our charming farmland nature trail that takes a looped walk around the cave setting with native species of flora and rare and miniature breeds of animals along the way. Doolin cave is the ideal family activity in the Burren. The nature trail is FREE to all cave visitors.
